Back to the toasty desert!  My miniature representative, took stroll in the heat.  The Valley of Fire, is an amazing place!  The red rocks, the formations, the trails…this place is sun baked cool!

Yeah, he’s there!  Just above the “e” in fire.

The sand in this area was just deep enough to make it super hard to walk.  Add to that, the sand was super heated and you’ll soon realize, you need to stand on the rocks more than hanging on the trail.

One thing to remember about being in the desert is, remember the suntan lotion and chap-stick!  Below is an example of what can happen! It’s almost a public service announcement!

Yeah…I know…who would have thought wood could get a sunburn?

Myrtle Beach,  South Carolina had a visit by the ever traveling Mini-Shawn!

In the hotel room, I’m told he was a bit restless and was ready to hit the beach!

Myrtle Beach, is located in an area known as, the Grand Strand.  The Strand, encompasses a group of beaches. North Myrtle Beach, Atlantic Beach, Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Garden City, Murrells Inlet, and Pawleys Island and I’m sure more!

If you are a golfer, you will LOVE this area!  The Strand, has more golf courses per capita ,than  any other beach in the world!

Mini-Shawn made it to the Grand Canyon!  One of my personal “Bucket list” places!

Definitely, a MUST for everyone to see!  it looks like he’s standing in front of a painting!

I’m planning a trip and have made a few mini-Shawn’s just for the occasion!  They are special colors!  I made two red and two blue mini-Shawns.

Red Team will be left in Arizona

Blue Team will be left in Nevada

I’ll have the instructions wrapped around them, so I hope someone will pick them up and take part in the project!  Take him camping, take him to work, take him with you on vacation!

Mini-Shawn sometimes has a busy stretch.  The other day,  he had breakfast in Connecticut with the Witts…

Then he went for a hike in the Shenandoah National Park, in Virginia with Andrea…

After that, he relaxed a bit at an RV Resort at Lake Toxaway, North Carolina with the Stroops!

In an earlier post, I showed how you can accessorize mini-Shawn with signage.  When Andrea went hiking hiking on Skyline Drive, she wanted to make sure her mini hiking companion had what he needed.  For a hike of this nature, you need a backpack for supplies and a walking stick for all kinds of reasons.

Great shot of the mountains in the background!  Check out detail and the gear! It looks like she spent some time working on the walking stick!   He is all set for his hiking adventure!

Dover Delaware, is the home of a small NASCAR race track, nicknamed the “Monster Mile”.  My wife and I used to go there every year!

This one mile track is famous for it’s exciting, fender bending,  races.  Mini-Shawn, found his way to the track and even hung out with the “Monster”!

Scott and Cheryl, had full access to Dale Jr’s car!

Maybe we convince Dale Jr to put a “mini-Shawn” ad on his car!  Maybe, even take a mini-Shawn racing with him during a race..  I could come out with an entire race series of mini-Shawns!   Or….I know, I know….I’m getting a little carried away with it.

Yep!  My parents took me to Raystown Lake, in Huntingdon, PA.  Well… actually, they took my mini representative!  Mini-Shawn spent some quality time by this 37 mile long gem of a lake, in PA.

Mini-Shawn was spotted hanging out with the Aguilars on Assateague Island, in VA this week!  This little island offers a wildlife experience on a beach.  I LOVE those wild horses!

The Aguilars picked up their hybrid camper just days ago and are out enjoying the fun in the sun (…and the wind and mosquitoes) on Assateague Island.  This is a great destination!
